Elva La Guardia 

Tänzerin, Sängerin und Perkussionistin mit familiärer Flamencotradition. 

  • Ihr Vater, der Maler, Bildhauer und Musiker Jorge La Guardia aus Granada in Andalusien, ist der Gründer ihrer ersten musikalischen Heimat, der Gruppe „Tierra“ 
  • 1985 Erste Engagements am Niedersächsischen Staatstheater für das Stück: "Celestina" mit Alexander Held und Anke Sevenich 
  • Konzerte mit der Gruppe Tierra in der Schweiz, Österreich und Deutschland
  • 1991 Gründung des Duos „Elva y Tomás“ mit Thomas Hickstein
  • CD-Präsentation „Fauno“ im Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, Atlanta USA
  • 2000 Mexicotournee mit dem Barockorchester „United Continuo Ensemble“ 
  • Gründung des Projektes: „Flamenco meets Jazz“ in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Arrangeur Steve Gray und der NDR Bigband

  • 2008 "Flamenco meets Classical Music" mit dem Gitarrenduo Katharina und Klaus Hempel

Elva la Guardia

Dancer, singer and percussionist in the family flamenco tradition



  • Her father, painter, sculptor and musician Jorge la Guardia from Granada in Andalusia formed the group „Tierra“ which was her first musical home.
  • 1985 first engagements with Niedersächsisches Staatstheater (State Theatre of Lower Saxony) for the play "Celestina“ with Alexander Held and Anke Sevenich.
  • Concerts with the group „Tierra“ in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
  • 1991 formation of the Duo Elva y Tomás with Thomas Hickstein.
  • Presentation of the CD „Fauno“ in Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, Atlanta, USA.
  • 2000 Tour of Mexico with the baroque orchestra „United Continuo Ensemble“.
  • Start/initiation of the project „Flamenco meets Jazz“ in co-operation with the arranger Steve Gray and the NDR Big Band.
  • Concert tour of South Korea together with the Jazz Duo CheJun, featuring the Samunori Molgae Korean Percussion Orchestra and Mizuki Wildenhahn.
